Can I recommend , dear reader (that's you Louise!) a trip across the Forth to Culross, a pretty wee village on the shores of the Forth. Cobbled streets lead up to an old Abbey and gabled houses crowd into twisting wee streets.Many of the buildings are owned by the National Trust for Scotland and so are painted in sandy and ochre colours which give the place a faintly foreign feel.
Well worth a visit and I can recommend the Gallery/ Coffee Shop for a nice wee scone and cup of tea.
